1. Function of following a “Maker”
Following a Maker is to place a limit order to buy or to sell according to the selected price in the order book.
For example, you want to buy 0.1 BTC at Buy 2 price in the order book. You can click on the Buy 2 price and insert 0.1 at the amount field. The price filed will be automatically filled with the price you selected.
2. Function of making a “Taker”
Making a Taker is to place a limit order to buy or to sell according to the selected maker price and the total amount of all the orders from Sell 1/Buy 1 to the selected order in the order book.
For example, you want to make a Taker order to buy BTC. The 5th price in BTC sell orders is 6,473.48 with a quantity of 0.743191. If you click on the 5th price in BTC sell orders, the system will place an order to buy 2.065631 (the total amount from Sell 1 to Sell 5) at a price of 6,473.48.
